Privacy Policy

This explains what personal data Detra collects, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

1. Who we are

Detra Realty and Infrastructure is a residential developer based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, and part of The Dhanesh Indore Group. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Detra is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. You are the Data Principal.

2. What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this website, plus limited technical information your browser sends automatically.

What you give us

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you choose to give it
  • Where you are based, if you choose to give it
  • What you are enquiring about, and anything you write in the message field

What is collected automatically

  • Your IP address, recorded with your enquiry as a basic anti-abuse measure
  • Standard server log information: browser type, device type, pages visited, and time of visit
  • Analytics data, if you consent to analytics cookies. See section 11.

We do not ask for and do not want financial information, identity document numbers, or any special category data through this website. Please do not send them by form or email.

3. Why we collect it

To reply to you, and for nothing else that you have not asked for.

  • To answer your enquiry. Someone at Detra reads it and replies.
  • To tell you when a project opens, if you registered interest in future residences.
  • To keep a record of what was discussed, so that if a conversation becomes a transaction we can honour what was said.
  • To keep the website working and secure, and to understand which pages people read.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box on a form. That consent is specific: it covers contacting you about the enquiry you made.

You can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@detrarealty.com with the word "withdraw" in the subject line. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent was. When you withdraw, we stop processing your data and delete it unless we are required by law to keep a record, and we will tell you if that applies.

Withdrawing consent does not make anything unlawful that we did while consent was in place.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that go nowhere
24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted
Registered interest
Until you ask us to remove you, or 24 months after we last wrote to you
Enquiries that become a transaction
Retained for as long as required under applicable law, including tax, RERA and contract record obligations
Server logs
Typically 30 to 90 days, depending on our hosting provider's retention

We do not keep personal data indefinitely on the chance it might be useful later.

6. Who we share it with

A short list, and it does not include anyone who would sell to you.

  • Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions in order to run this website and deliver our email
  • Analytics providers, only if you consent to analytics cookies
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers or auditors, where genuinely necessary
  • Government or regulatory authorities, where we are legally required to disclose

We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to property brokers or channel partners. If you enquire with Detra, you hear from Detra. That is a commitment, not a legal minimum.

7. Where it is stored

This website is hosted on shared infrastructure and our email is delivered through third-party providers. Some of these providers operate servers outside India, which means your personal data may be stored or processed outside India.

Where that happens, we rely on our providers' contractual commitments to protect the data, and we do not transfer personal data to any country to which such transfer is restricted by the Central Government under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

8. How we protect it

  • The website is served over HTTPS, so what you type in a form is encrypted in transit
  • Access to enquiry data is limited to the people at Detra who need it to reply to you
  • Forms carry basic anti-spam protection
  • We apply reasonable security safeguards as required under the Act

No system is perfect. If a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

9. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we are processing it
  • Correct anything inaccurate, complete anything incomplete, and update anything out of date
  • Erase your personal data where it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as described in section 4
  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity
  • Raise a grievance, as described in section 10

To exercise any of these, email info@detrarealty.com. We will respond within a reasonable period, and in any event within the timeframe prescribed under the Act.

10. Raising a grievance

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, write to us first. We would rather fix it than have you escalate.

11. Cookies

This website uses a small number of cookies. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function are set without consent. Analytics cookies are set only if you agree to them in the consent banner.

12. Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through this website, tell us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle data you have already given us, we will contact you about it rather than relying on you noticing.
